You Were My Fugi
The scabs on my knuckles from are slowly healing. When I first got here a week ago there was only one week left in lichu season.. Today my cook informed me that there are no more lichu in the market. They are DONE! As I have been eating about 100 lichu a day this is very sad news for me. On the bright side, now my knuckles will no longer be scraped and bleeding from the efforts of prying apart the rough lichu skin to get to the juicy sweetness inside.

My bedroom smells like camp, or so Ali informs me. Sheuli, my cook, washed all my western clothes, of wool, denim and heavy cotton after I got back. The first day they didn't dry on the line. The second day continued in being icky humid and overcast as the whole week has been, so they didn't dry then either. So the clothes are now dangling from my mosquito net rack attempting to dry under the fan in my room. By now they have acquired a rather powerful mold smell, causing my entire bedroom to "smell like camp."
