The neighborhood roared. Ten minutes later it roared again, this time accompanied by air horns. I turned on the TV and found the cause…Chelsea vs Manchester United. The game went into overtime, and then a penalty shootout, and when the conclusion was reached at 12:30 the noise in the stairwell was deafening. Ah…the enthusiasm of footballing nations.
