What Are You doing New Years, New Years Eve?

I walked into the office after 2 weeks of holiday at the same time as the director. "Hello! How are you! You may not come in this office dressed like that!"
April 14th is the first of the New Year for much of Asia, and it's expected that I would wear a red sari. So I went home and got changed.
Later I went out and seen the crowds of people promenading in their red and white saris. For such an auspicious occasion, the whole city dresses in their best clothes, and hords come out to my running park to see and be seen.
